SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON 2019!

My daughter was howling at the moon last night… she turned to my husband and me and said “HOWL, MommyDaddy! HOWL AT THE MOON!”

And so we howled! In preparation for tonight’s Super Full Blood Wolf Moon of 2019! I am sure our neighbors were like… okay! But there we three were! We practiced howling like the wolves who traditionally mate during January and February… hence why it’s called “Wolf” moon. Tonight, Sunday the 20th into the 21st of January 2019 – at 7:30pm Pacific Standard Time, in the City of Angels, Hollywood, California, we can view the moon as it passes behind the Earth – and create a full eclipse… it won’t happen again until May 2021. So gather round, all magical creatures, and let’s ground these New Year spells to the hemisphere – it’s time to cast away that which does not serve us and embrace TRUE CHANGE! Howl it away! And call in your true companions, material, spiritual and manifesting!

As it is, SUNRISE is my time of day. Each morning I try to be present to see it expand over my view of the City. At this time, I meditate, think about my day, how I want to approach it. How I want to be different. How I can let go of any resentments. How I want to CHANGE. As we approach this exciting time  tonight, let’s think about letting go of that which does not serve us. That which does not spark joy, (thank you, Ms. Kondo for the reminder!) That which is holding us back, or makes us feel heavy.

This morning’s sunrise was quite lovely – blood orange sky beginnings. I tried to capture it on my phone camera and alas, it doesn’t quite work the magic like a true old Pentax single shot camera would. I should stop trying with the phone and get out my Pentax for these moments! The sunrise is always gorgeous above Sunset Boulevard. The magic that is the street, the lore, the energy and stillness before the crowds. We check in with each other psychically, are we ready for this? Do you really want to do this? YAS, QUEEN! LET’S GO FOR IT! And for tonight.. the MOON RISE? YES! LET US HOWL!! We should all live on Moonrise! I am sure there is a street or boulevard called so!

Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse Magic!

There is a reason we awaken to experience change. To see magic of space, nature, earth, moon, sun and universe taking place – right before our very eyes. There is a reason for us to be present for these quiet but truly spectacular occurrences in life. There are these moments that shift us to remind us we are but one speck in the gigantic ocean of being, yet we are the largest speck because we are the one who is seeing it and taking it in. We are both big and small – but we are at that moment – at all moments – reminded we are ONE. The spirit of art, of music, of writing, of filming, of drawing, of dancing, of painting, of spoken word, of ardent smiles, creatrix manifesting all comes from the one place – yet we all take that energy and release it like lightening bolts from our fingertips in a hundred million thousand trillion different ways. The energy is the one energy the release is divinely manifest as completely unique to each and every creation. MAGIC! ART! NEW! CHANGE! So today in this brilliant full moon celebration, we can all go out and be the change we want to see in the world… and embrace it. Be grateful for this opportunity that we choose to take. Let go of the old story, welcome the new and spice it up a little, why not? Blessed Be! xoxo

Bloom After the Fall

I love to find flowers on the pavement. I have photographed many encounters and am fascinated by the art they create after their fall to the ground. We think of flowers upright, on a stem or floating in crystal bowl at a fancy dress event underneath sparkling lights… but on the ground, possibly going to ignored, stepped on… disregarded for they are not in their usual surroundings. These are the flowers I learn from. If I fall in any way, a delve into a character defect that causes me to act badly, be forgetful, unthinking… or if a project I thought was going to go into action has be halted by another changing their mind… or if I just have a bad day, and my colorful blooms have fallen… I can just change my perspective and look at it differently.  Oh! A New Perspective. There’s an idea!

It’s the glory of it not being over until it’s over… or just when you thought it was one way and it turns out to be totally different. How do I respond? How do I respond to change?  And here we are… the first rains in Los Angeles of the New Year 2018! Two words: SO EXCITING! It was just POURING moments ago early this hour of crystal blue persuasion. Glorious rain! And so much will bloom because of it!

And so here we are into our Winter, blooming after our Fall! Thrilling! And the stories! The stories, these blooms do tell! Many of us have many stories of falling… falling to pieces… falling apart… falling through…and as we come out, we come through, wherever we are and  tell our stories. We are not alone in these similar experiences…so it’s fun to share. Where has that fallen rose just come from? Who dropped it? Did I drop it? I’ve dropped a LOT, let me tell you. My manners most of all! But they’ll grow again… I know I have to pull them out and replant them, plug back in. I may have had a tricky time of it lately… but I’m blooming after all… It’s happening and I’m excited! Like a fallen bloom…I’m excited to shine in a new way.  Every day, every moment we have this chance! Let’s bloom after our falls, shall we? Bloomin’ lovely shall we be! Blessed BE!

WITCH IS YOUR DOMAIN?

Ah the church bells are tolling – it is 12:00pm and a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN! HAPPY SAMHAIN and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!! Those of us who know from WITCH WE COME can enjoy the celebration of such a FESTIVE and FORCEFUL time in the UNIVERSE. The ENERGY of the NEW is ever PRESENT and I am FEELING the NEWNESS in its ABUNDANCE the time is NIGH for CHANGE!

Witch brings me to the QUESTION of our PURPOSE – and the KNOWING of WHERE WE ARE IN THE SCHEME OF OUR LIVES. Are we the FOREFRONT in the LIGHT or the back in the DARK? Are we GOING HIGH when they go low? WITCHES FLY don’t you know?

And this goes for all women and men boys and girls and all in between aside and TOGETHER – however you IDENTIFY is your SELF your TRUTH and your BEING – it doesn’t matter in the end for we are all ENERGY BEINGS exchanging our energy, SHARING IT and MELDING it and MIXING it up! The great LESSON that I am constantly LEARNING over and over again is that I HAVE CREATED MY SURROUNDINGS AND MY LIFE. Everything is a RESULT OF MY THINKING. Be it ‘good’ or ‘bad’ or often, ‘indifferent’ – IT IS WHAT IT IS BECAUSE I HAVE THOUGHT IT SO. I cannot blame or commend anyone but me – as tempting as that may be!

I remember today that I am THE WITCH OF MY DOMAIN and my domain is all my family, friends, work and life. It is EVERYTHING I HAVE CREATED surrounding me are the RESULTS OF MY CHOICES. The lesson I learn is that I can make the MAGIC – MAGIC IS TO BEND OR SHAPE. Magic is the mayhem, the PROMISE, the BEGINNING and the MOVEMENT. Magic is the MYSTERY we continue to DISCOVER. MAGIC IS THE MOTHER, THE FATHER and THE SPIRIT OF MY SOUL. WE ARE ALL ONE IN THE MAGIC TOGETHER. We are the BALL OF SPIRIT. The LIGHT EVERLASTING the BEAUTY and the BUGS, the BRILLIANCE and the BLASTING THROUGH THE OLD TO GET TO THE NEW.

SO HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY MY MAGIC ONES, happy to have a new day, a new WAY to SEE and to BE and to SHARE. When we trick or treat, DRESS UP AND PLAY, we are making new magic for all to partake. So take a Hula Hoop and shake, rattle and roll… enjoy the rain, the breeze and the EASE and play to your HEART’S CONTENT! Then we might turn and forget…and feel impelled to be a snarkass mofu – but we can’t!  We shan’t! For as you already know, we are you and you are we and I am you!

So when you are magnificent, then I am magnificent and it is magnificent and the day is beyond gorgeous to boot!

And yes, there is, indeed, poopoo all around us. Si, my Loves, I know. I see it too. Merde, blimey shitey and sticky what-A. Yes, we turn, we look down, we see it on the street. We hear it out of the mouths of many we pay to be regal. We read it all over the social streams. But, we don’t have to be such, we can be magnificent and then the magnificent fever just might catch! We will all burn up with terrific magnificence and then, spring out dancing in the streets, right where we are! Which would be lovely, wouldn’t it?

For as the Beatles pointed out so profoundly, “And in the end, the love you take is equal the love you make.” Love is magnificence!

The choice we make to be magnificent? We will receive this back in heaps and bounds. And I and you will feel the light from within igniting the light from without.

YOU ARE A BRIGHT STAR!

It is early HOT morning, LOVE! Los Angeles at its finest in the Fall, quieter, birds are freely flying and sun is rising! Happy 1st of October!                                                                                     In MISS FANCY PANTS our heroine begins her new life on the 1st of October. Fitting that last night and tonight is the Black Moon! That means two New Moons occur in one month! Did you do your spell? We did! Here is our new white candle burning bright. An exquisite red rose from my “Woman of Achievement” honoring on Wednesday night from The NAPW Los Angeles Local Chapter and gorgeous white fleurs from fabulous World of Wonder who sent their congratulations because of my honor as Woman of Achievement. Thank you to the amazing women of the NAPW and to dear Randy Barbato, Fenton Bailey, Thairin Smothers at World of Wonder. Especially to my husband, Eduardo Magana, who brought it all forward, because truth be told – I was hiding this honor all along!

But it is the BLACK MOON my friends! Time for letting go of old patterns, old beliefs, old habits and ways of thinking that do not serve us! Foreverconscious.com has a wonderful ritual. But you can do your own – every day! For every single day we are given the chance to renew, just by waking up and saying YES! To a lovely new experience! I had to do it all in the last few days. LET IT GO!

For I wasn’t kidding when I said I was hiding my honor. I even spoke about it as the Keynote Speaker for the NAPW event at the Los Angeles Theatre Center on Wednesday night. Why was I hiding? Because, as since I was a little girl, I did not think I was deserving. I was self-conscious about it. I was wanting to just get to the next place and not be in the present. Y’all, I don’t need to remind you that today is a GIFT that is why it is called the PRESENT! Hmm? Even moi, Goddess of Awareness needs to get AWARE!!

We are all BRIGHT STARS! We have a DUTY TO SHINE ! And the SUN – HELLO! BRIGHT STAR! IT SHINES THROUGHOUT THE DAY starting first thing in the morning! And like the famous quote from Marianne Williamson, its our light we are most afraid of, not our darkness. Why? Even I have to ask this. I accepted the honor from NAPW with an open heart and immense gratitude that night. I saw in that moment how blessed I truly am to have had that moment to share my experience, strength and hope for being a woman owning a business for since 2008. I know the ups and downs. I have been with the NAPW Los Angeles Local Chapter since 2008 as well. I know I need to connect to other bright stars and I have through them. They are ALL amazing women in many different fields of life practice.

But unbeknownst to me, I was preparing for the Black Moon rising for a few weeks. I started by reading Michelle Visage’s outstanding THE DIVA RULES: Ditch the Drama, Find Your Strength and Sparkle Your Way to the Top. Michelle is a powerhouse of brilliance. I work with her on (Emmy-winning! Yay Ru!) RuPaul’s Drag Race.  She serves sparkle brilliance each and every episode. She serves it when we all kiki (chit chat!) in her dressing room and when she – Goddess bless her – guided me towards one of the most precious gifts of my life! This is the perfect book to read for the New Moon!

And… if you are going to the pictures today – the next best way to celebrate this New Moon is to see Barnet Bain‘s wonderful Milton’s Secret! Eduardo and I were blessed to be at the Los Angeles Premiere on Tuesday night. And PS! Hello!  Not only did I get to hug my darling friend Barnet with whom I worked on the Academy Award-winning What Dreams May Come with the divine Robin Williams. He is an inspirational thought leader, author, producer and director. We crossed paths for the first time in December 1996 for a REASON. He hired me to be his assistant on the production because I was a student of New Thought Consciousness. You never know what will make someone spark to hire you! …And… also at the premiere – I also got to meet one of all-time favorite stars, Lisa Garr of The Aware Show! See! See how brilliant this week is! OMG! I am jumping for joy just realizing it myself!

Are you seeing the wonderful connections happening? STARS ARE EVERYWHERE and WE ARE EVERYWHERE! Milton’s Secret is a story of moving from chaos to stillness, from unconsciousness to consciousness from war to peace  – sometimes as simply by taking a breath. Letting Go. You can do this too. Stars send their energy to Earth to light the way. Each one of us is a beacon of light. In fact, we may be the only beacon someone sees that day, so shine brighter than ever!! Go Fully For It!

Award-winning author Marcia Mitchell is a darling friend ~ a Goddess beauty of light, intellect and writing that I have adored from a far, literally – she lives across the country. She is a dear friend of my godmother, and I’ve been blessed to come to know her over a number of occasions during the last twenty years. But each time I see Marcia, we are like a house on fire with ideas, story, film, history and spies! So of course, when she gave me her latest livre, I laid straight down and read it cover to cover!

What’s Up, Pussycats? Two Women and the zaniest sex survey since Kinsey!

“What’s left? A fake survey. Fake questionnaires, at least at the beginning, enough sneaky (and borderline illegal) capers, and more hilarious happenstances than one normal person can imagine. Involved in this rambunctious romp into the worlds of sex research, publishing, and equal opportunities for successful women (the Pussycats), are an unfaithful husband, a devastatingly handsome FBI agent (all of Mitchell’s fictional FBI agents are very good looking), a nerdish millionaire, and a wacky government administrator determined to put an end to it all.”

First off, any person who includes “All of Mitchell’s fictional FBI agents are good looking” in a summary is divine in my book! A must-read based on that line alone!

Which leads me to an Alicia segue about my divine grandmother, Cicely O’Donovan who was Queen of Bons Mots ~ She tossed them out like breadcrumbs to pigeons on the Piazza San Marco and we would always just laugh and laugh. But she was quite serious. If we had a troubling day, we would share our trials with Grandma O’D and she would look at us rather puzzled for a few moments, for she would not know what a troubling day was. But then her empathy would kick in and she’d say, “Well, that’s too terrible, but at least you’re good looking!” Enough said. I shan’t ever complain again!

Back to Marcia Mitchell and her book – of course I adored it. But there are reasons that may not be the same as someone else who would adore it, which is the way with art and books – we all have our own experiences. I adored it because I came away THINKING….Hmmm… what would I do? I came away inspired that no matter what seems to try to stop these two women, Susan and Myrna, from accomplishing their goal, they stay the course. They waver, they question, they get discouraged, but they don’t back down. They create something out of nothing and they are determined to finish it – to see it through to the end. Being an Aries, this is something that utterly fascinates me…because there are always new projects to start before the other is even finished!

I responded to it – not because of the zany sex survey… that it is certainly thought-provoking. I’ve worked in Hollywood since the beginning – since the late 1980’s anyway – when sex in the workplace was called going to lunch. So was smoking in the offices, martinis and cocktail hour with all the studio executives. It was F.U.N. I am telling you! Those were definitely the days! But even then, it was less promiscuous than the earlier days before that, when it was more de rigueur, a la Mad Men. Everyone had affairs. It was zaneeee!

But the book is not about sex in the workplace – in the storyline it includes analyzing those such relationships and that unto sex. You may become involved with someone in the workplace, and then what? What if you are the boss and he or she is lower on the totem pole… what to do? Men of course, just do it…but women who are the boss? Hmmm…And so it goes. Questions, answers, surveys. Power, importance, roles.

I was much more intrigued by the gumption of these two characters and their willingness to think fast for survival. They need to support themselves, children and their livelihoods and they have to do it fast. Their answer – WRITE! And WRITE FAST and MAKE IT GOOD and of course, include sex because sex sells, right? Even I know this! I include some swirling sexy fun in my own book, MISS FANCY PANTS ~ so I’m on the bandwagon. And why not? It’s always a bumpy, but adventurous colorful ride!

At first, reading about the survey I thought to myself – I’ve never given much thought about sex and role-playing in the workplace and who’s the boss and should you or shouldn’t you – but it wasn’t true. Most of the men I’ve directly worked with over the recent years have been gay therefore, it hasn’t been a huge issue, but that’s not to say it didn’t come up in other circumstances in the past. Once, I remember in a haze of a smoky dinner with an executive who I thought was a good friend, had the gall to suggest I had to do it with him for a promotion. I just thought he was crazy. “You’re not serious?” were my exact words, as I belted back the martini and laughed… But it did bother me for a long time after that. I thought were friends! I guess, it turns out, I was quite naïve!

This book got me thinking – about the GUMPTION these women have. THEY WENT FOR IT. What’s real about this fictional story is all the trials and tribulations that came with this endeavor. The JUMP they take INTO THE ABYSS of creating this survey to publish. The characters have the background, knowledge and ability. THEY HAVE A VISION and THEY MAKE IT HAPPEN.

This is what I came away with from this book.

I called Marcia right away. “Lovely,” I said, “It’s a terrific book – I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not because of the sex business, but because IT MADE ME THINK. WHAT WOULD I DO? Would I not let fear of the unknown results stop me and just GO FOR IT? I don’t know. I think I’ve stopped myself loads of times. But these characters are SO DETERMINED. THEY DON’T STOP FOR ANYTHING. It was so inspiring for that reason. IT INSPIRED ME TO GET INSPIRED. It was a page-turner not because I care about the results of the survey, but because for all the escapades that they go through, they don’t stop. They keep going, no matter what! So I thank you for it, Marcia!” And I do so here and now.

ENTERPRISING, People. We all need to be enterprising!

I know dear individuals who seem lost and don’t know what to do with their lives. Struggling. We can suggest and suggest, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. They need to find the inspiration themselves. But there is loneliness and all sorts of wayward feelings flying about in the atmosphere. It’s even in the news everyday. People feel defeated before they even start. I’m not so sure that all this technology literally at our fingertips is such a brilliant thing. Even I get lost in the Insta scroll. I forget to look up. The LIGHT IS GREEN, now WALK! But oh! Look at that post, I better “Like” before I look. No. MOVE FORWARD. We must move forward! And look at the person next to you. And… you know what? TALK. TALK TO THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU. And ask a question. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? GET INSPIRED!

What’s Up, Pussycats gave me a new perspective. Come at something from a different angle and you just might get a better view. Take a step to the left and then one forward. There, between the tree branches, is a better view.

Be COURAGEOUS. BE COMPASSIONATE, BE YOU!

I love this little sign, I found it on La Brea Avenue near 6^th Street on the bottom of a lamppost. It says it. And if you take the time to look – the SIGNS ARE EVERYWHERE. They are in a page in a book. They are literally, on a lamp post!

Be inspired and let yourself think about it. Give it a new breath. Give yourself a chance to be inspired with your idea, let it incubate, then do the research for it, then keep on track no matter what. This is what I came away with in Marcia’s Mitchell’s book. It was inspirational for the ACTION these women take. They could have created a baking contest. It was their INSPIRATION to make something COME TO LIFE. So I have been churning, churning out more ideas ever since I read it. And each moment, I have to tell myself, – SELF – Alicia, you can take this excitement and inspiration and just…GO FULLY FOR IT! you can DO IT!!

Super Full Blood Moon! Full ReNew in Aries!

Tonight ~ Sunday, the 27th of September ~ the Universe will host a Super Full Blood Moon Eclipse!

Thank you, Universe, for allowing us to experience this spectacular event and for allowing us to be present for it ~ rare, energetic, magical ~

This total lunar eclipse known as a Blood Moon for its fiery red glow ~ which last happened in 1982 and will not occur again until the year 2033~ is the final one in a succession of four lunar eclipses which happened over April of 2014 to today, Sunday, 27 September 2015. A Day of CHANGE, Blessed Be!!

The full moon in ARIES is a CALL TO ACTION ~ It will be UP TO YOU on how you can MAKE THE MOST OF THIS MOON for your own spirit, your own desire to RENEW. To embrace change. Your commitment to LETTING GO OF PAST WOUNDS, and to COMMIT to letting go of those aspects of our personality and habits and reactions that don’t serve us, and to choosing to CONNECT TO OUR TRUTH. Deep, down, honest. Create a ritual, don red, burn red candles and feel the fire in your spirit connect to the whole CREATRIX ~ no matter what you believe or practice, you cast a spell when you speak, we speak words of wisdom, change, faith, belief and renewal today.

As a spirit being of the Goddess and God, we must all be committed to the HIGHEST GOOD, and in so doing, we HONOR OUR SPIRIT that has been with us since our spirit’s inception. Before we came to this Earth, and through our next visit here if it is indeed Earth where we alight next ~ to our next destination. We are here to bring forth BLESSINGS OF CREATIVITY, to allow our GIFTS TO BLESS OTHERS. Our gifts are as simple as a hug for another person, or as large as a creation of art of some kind. EMBRACE OUR UNITY and look into the eyes of that spirit passing by and say, “I LOVE YOU.” When you do, you reinforce love for yourself, making your light even stronger for all the world and universe to see.

WE ARE ALL ONE. Never, never forget. WE ARE ALL CONNECTED. Even if you think you aren’t, you are.

What Dreams May Come

WHAT DREAMS MAY COME ~ Indeed, from whence I last wrote – the Summer Solstice on 21 June, so much has passed and so many people dear to me, that I found it not possible to put into words all that I have experienced.

I have also been working in production day and night since start of July, that my hours are consumed, and my attention, not on writing. So it has been. This morning, I return, hoping all that is collected and brought here, makes some sense.

Sadness becomes us as we face the passing of those close to our hearts and souls. Beautiful Goddess June E. Hudson, gifted artist Richard McKenzie, the one-year anniversary of brilliant Robin Williams’ going on his next great adventure… My amazing Goddess Aunt Molly Gorman who passed away ten years ago today…

Hard to believe any of them are not here on Earth any longer.

People. All brilliant lights. Parents to us all. Death is the next transition that will happen to all of us. It is inevitable. It is certain. It is something to be as celebrated as a birth. Sometimes we organize it for ourselves ~ sometimes it takes us by surprise. Sometimes we experience a long illness for which the end finally comes. However it does, we salute those on their next journey as they step onto the boat to cross over. What awaits them, only those making the crossing get to experience ~ so many have made it and no one has come back saying it isn’t pleasant, so we can believe it must be lovely ~ I like to think so anyway!

I believe in the afterlife whole-heartedly. I was lucky to see it brought to this life when I worked on What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams. Now THAT was an awesome journey! Life, death, art, color, imagination, recreation, envisioning ~ manifesting to the SUPREME. BELIEVE it is FABULOUS and it IS! KNOW that you have the power to make it what you want it to be, and it IS! Share in your VISION and it IS! ACT AS IF and it IS!

I am indeed, so BEYOND BLESSED to have shared in the energy of so many awesome people over the years. To think how fortunate I was to have shared in the energy of Robin while we made What Dreams May Come! Everyone who worked on the picture will tell you – it radically changed each of our lives in some capacity. Fitting that he was the STAR, for Robin is singular among us, a shining beacon who has always lived on another plane, his sparkling blue eyes radiating brilliance, flying across a stratosphere all his own…

We all have dreams we watch float by. Sometimes we reach out, grab it and ride them like a whale or a dolphin as we dip and dive into the waters of creation. We hold on for dear life as they shoot up into the skies to sprinkle the world with manifestation. Or…if we don’t grab on, we watch them float by and we might wave… Maybe the next, maybe the next! Maybe I won’t be afraid! Maybe…I’LL DO IT!
What I know today is those who have gone on during this summertime, each of them left true works of art. Whether it was their amazing, incredibly creative children and grandchildren, their own works of physical art, or their funny sayings we recall, their personalities, if not always inviting, inspired laughter, hilarious moments we recall. My grandmother, Cicely O’Donovan, said so many incredible bon mots, to recount them would take another entry. In fact, I shall devote one to her another time. She lived in the clouds so often, her world was all her own. And… it is a reminder to each one of us ~ our world is our own…but in living day-to-day, we do share it with others. Maybe for the good, perhaps not for some, but always it is THIS LIFE NOW.

So I ask this now… What dreams may come? What of YOUR DREAMS may come? What of OUR DREAMS do we manifest while we have this time on Earth? What are we doing to really DREAM? We dream to create, to take us somewhere new… or old. To create a business, a place to live, a voyage to take…

I daydream of Paris often. I daydream of a hike I took with our extended family in Lake Tahoe in the summertime – through an expansive field filled with flowers. It was like commercial for soap or some such. But it affected me so at the time that sometimes I go back there in my mind to figure out why. I daydream of Los Angeles when it was quiet. I daydream of a house one day I will live in with my own family. I dream to create on some level ~ To take me on a new journey. I dream to get stronger, to be at peace and to be not afraid.

So this morning, I send blessings and THANK YOUs and salutations to all who have made the journey before me – the crossing from the mundane to the EXTRAORDINARY. Who are the BRAVE ADVENTURERS.
