Happy Summer Solstice! Happy Father’s Day! Happy SUN-Day! Happy Longest Day of the Year!
Be outside! DANCE, SHARE, LOVE and honor the LIGHT we get to experience each and every day. And if you know someone who doesn’t feel it or see light – well, send some their way. Today there should be LIGHT FOR EVERYONE!!
I’m in Palm Springs where the light is just absolutely GORGE every day. It is the desert so the landscapes are generally light, sandy. The San Jacinto Mountains, luminous as the sun rises, thereby bouncing even more majestic light to the entire Coachella Valley below. The mountains are the guardians, the keepers of the magic that stirs well beneath the earth, the water tables rising, falling, flowing underneath, that which we cannot see. The air is HOT.
So much of who we are ~ are like majestic mountains. Our souls, keeping us firm as we station ourselves onto our living Earth. We watch what happens around us, feeling the rumblings underneath our surface, our source spirits, lifting, ebbing, flowing. We reflect the light around us unto others. We catch the snow or the rain and let it fall unto the rivers and streams that we nourish throughout our lives. WE ARE SOURCE, WE ARE LIGHT, WE ARE SPIRIT. WE ARE REFLECTION.
WE ARE FATHER AND MOTHER, even if we physically are not such so to another human being, we are all Mother and Father of the Earth we live upon, ideally, BLESSING it each day, giving THANKS for it each day, and helping to NOURISH it, each moment, watering, tending, gardening and also, yes, we destroy, sometimes with intention, sometimes, we don’t even know we are doing it. Sometimes, we simply look in the other direction and pretend not to see what is really going on.
Today, nourish your own spirit and soul, giving thanks for your presence on earth. For FERTILITY that this mid-summer time brings. Fertility for NEW IDEAS, for INSPIRATION, for IMAGINATION, for MANIFESTATION, for BABIES, for NEW PLANTS, for FLOWERS so this little hummingbird buzzing next to me will get to enact its joyous purpose, to help pollinate the rest of the environ, here in the gorgeous, living desert. PS here is news of Summer Solstice at Stonehenge – We were in England at Solstice time and at Stonehenge just two days before in 2010 and it was indeed MAGICAL!
